Pumpkins

At this very moment, Finnur’s working hard on carving his big pumpkin for Halloween this year. Yes, in the spirit of honoring the fact that both Anna and Bjarki are US citizens, we decided to splurge on pumpkins this year. Because how can one resist this:

Large pumpkins at Krónan. The ‘painted’ pumpkins are more expensive (ISK per kg)… but why would one buy a (badly) painted pumpkin?!?!
… knowing just how much Finnur enjoys putting on his arty-face and carving out elaborate designs? Previous Halloween carvings here: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008a, 2008b, 2009.
Sadly, we neglected to carve pumpkins for the past two years. Yes, shame on us!
p.s. Finnur’s also roasting pumpkin seeds. The smell is delicious!! 🙂
