Just took Emma to her well-child visit and, uh, she’s growing like a weed height-wise, but has hardly gained any weight since two months ago…<\/p>\n

This is what she looks like on the WHO anthro program<\/a>: (4 images total)<\/p>\n

\"She's<\/a>

She’s 81 cm tall (just shy of 32 inches), which is equivalent to an average 18 month old child.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

\"But<\/a>

But while she’s still growing rapidly, her weight is at a standstill, which is sub-optimal.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The weight vs. length chart shows clear line-jumping, which is generally frowned upon.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Head<\/a>

Head circumference is not doing too badly though…<\/p><\/div>\n

Of course, she’s doing just fine and dandy otherwise (aside from a small infection on her eyelid), but to be on the safe side, the nurse wanted to see her again in 3 months, instead of the regular 6 months.<\/p>\n

Now, we’ve noticed she’s not eating quite as well now that she’s been teething, but I guess this means sips of water will be exchanged for sips of milk, and we have to redouble our efforts in providing her with fatty meats (lamb, lamb, lamb<\/em>!).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
