Thankfully somebody managed to lift it at the last moment so it went into the air instead of right at us. Later that night, as I was talking to my dad who was in the neighbourhood, he told me he was that “somebody”!! We started New Year’s Eve at Finnur’s parents where they had a big party with excellent food. At the same time a pretty severe storm hit the capital area but as we were ready to head to the city around 9:30pm, only pretty strong wind remained of the storm. We then drove to my grandma’s and shot up some fireworks, watched the yearly comedy show and then ran out up on a nearby hill, where we got a spectacular view of the fireworks everybody was shooting up.<\/p>\n
