{"id":9231,"date":"2013-12-04T14:31:31","date_gmt":"2013-12-04T14:31:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/?p=9231"},"modified":"2013-12-04T14:33:02","modified_gmt":"2013-12-04T14:33:02","slug":"do-i-dare-jinx-this","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/2013\/12\/do-i-dare-jinx-this\/","title":{"rendered":"Do I Dare Jinx This?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First: \u00a0How is it DECEMBER FORTH already?!?!?<\/p>\n<p>Anyway. \u00a0The jinxing. \u00a0By saying stuff out loud. \u00a0Goes as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Emma has slept from 7 pm to aaaalmost 6 am three nights in a row now. \u00a0No drinking, no serious waking up screaming.<\/p>\n<p>It kinda happened by accident. \u00a0a) Finnur left for his biannual two-week-long work-trip to California on Saturday. \u00a0b) Sewing club girls and other wiser older women all told me it was time to drop the midnight feeding, so c) I decided to not sleep in my bed at all, just stay on the office bed. \u00a0d) I went to bed soooo late two nights in a row (1 am-ish) that even if Emma woke up, there was no way I&#8217;d wake up to her. \u00a0e) She&#8217;s mastered standing up and sitting down, and f) has a pillow at the foot of her crib that she likes to collapse on top of when insulted by lack of attention.<\/p>\n<p>And so, with nobody to complain to in the bedroom, she&#8217;s stopped.<\/p>\n<p>Now I just have to hang out in the office for a week or so, before she hopefully forgets about there ever having been night-time feedings, and then I can move back in. \u00a0That&#8217;s the theory, anyway! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First: \u00a0How is it DECEMBER FORTH already?!?!?
