Emma and I have made a temporary truce in the nighttime. \u00a0She gets yanked onto the big bed at her first complaint, drinks every now and then, and I’m too tired to really notice. \u00a0(She was probably on a two-hour schedule last night. \u00a0Who knows. \u00a0Oh, and on the too-much-information front-especially-if-you’re-male: we’ve worked out a way where she gets to drink from either side, without me moving an inch. \u00a0Progress!)<\/p>\n

So yeah. \u00a0She won again.<\/p>\n

But. \u00a0The poor kid.<\/p>\n

Not only is does she have a cold, molars possibly on the move, and standing and sitting down to perfect, but she’s also starting to imitate sounds. \u00a0I’d bee too excited to sleep too!<\/p>\n

Let the record show that her first concrete non-babbling word is “DATT”, which means ‘it fell’. \u00a0She’s not using it to describe stuff falling yet, mostly because we’ve been confusing her with saying DATT randomly, because it’s darn cute when she says it back.<\/p>\n

(Anna probably had the same crazy busy development time at 8-9 months with the same sleep-issues, but Bjarki’s development was much more staggered, particularly on the gross motor skill side, so maybe he never went into overdrive?)<\/p>\n

I’ve yet to capture the cute DATT on video, but I give you Emma blowing bubbles instead:<\/p>\n
