I’ll be the first to admit that kiddie birthday celebrations have gotten completely out of hand. \u00a0But, at the same time, I couldn’t tell Bjarki that he wouldn’t be getting to celebrate his birthday with his daycare buddies after he asked about it nonstop… soooo… to the celebratory place<\/a> we went!<\/p>\n

(Last year we hosted the boys at home, but a) Finnur swore never to do that again, and b) the weather forecast has been too unstable to plan anything which requires playing outside these days, so we went to one of those party venues instead.)<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>

The play structures at \u00c6vint\u00fdragar\u00f0urinn (The Adventure Garden).<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>

The boys and Anna (as the wicked troll chasing them) basically disappeared into this structure and…<\/p><\/div>\n

\"...<\/a>

… didn’t come out unless they’d hurt themselves. Thankfully there were no serious accidents, but a few left with some minor bruises.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

An hour in, the boys made a quick pit-stop in the party room to swallow down juice and eat a few bites of pizza.<\/p><\/div>\n

Getting sung to, yet again.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki<\/a>

The all-important presents.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Using<\/a>

Using the slide. Is was frankly less popular than I’d expected, the big play house was the main attraction by a mile.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Anna<\/a>

Anna still terrorizing the boys. She was definitely the fun older sister at the party!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The weather outside was wet and windy. Blergh.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The boys took a quick break to watch Bjarki open his presents. He was very happy with his new stuff.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Emma<\/a>

Emma hung out with me for the most part, and even took a short nap in the middle of everything. Towards the end Anna took her on a tour of the facilities, which included taking her all over the play house. Thank goodness Anna’s a strong one! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n
