Because the weather forecast looked so un-outside-able for Bjarki’s birthday, we decided to limit his formal birthday party<\/a> to ‘family’ for space reasons and have some of our friends over later.<\/p>\n

‘Later’ turned out to be the next day, when the Hollas and the Gu\u00f0r\u00fans came over for lunch and some hot tubbing, before we jumped in the car later that afternoon to meet the Addas at the Laugarvatn summer house for an overnight stay. Bjarki very happy to be getting MOAR PRESENTS!!<\/p><\/div>\n

How happy? THIS happy! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Our<\/a>

Our guests after downing most of the american pancakes. \u00a0For the first time ever, I managed to make enough pancakes that there were leftovers!<\/p><\/div>\n

Blowing on the candles after we sang him the Happy Birthday Song.<\/p><\/div>\n

We let him eat cake.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"After<\/a>

After lunch, we ran outside to do a bit of family-photoing. \u00d3li was kind enough to pose while I fiddled with the camera settings.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki ran outside to see what we were up to, which resulted in one of my favorite photos of him ever.<\/p><\/div>\n

Here are the Gu\u00f0r\u00fans! (Minus the surly teen who smartly refused to participate, because if you look closely you can see it had started RAINING! So I just took this photo and we then ran inside.)<\/p><\/div>\n

Hot tubbing… we’re hot tubbing… This is slightly embarrassing but I’ve yet to actually try the hot tub myself!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Anna<\/a>

Anna with the ever-growing Emma. Anna is an awesome baby-sitter, and is thankfully still very excited about playing with her little sister.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Since<\/a>

Since their car was in the shop, the Hollas decided to bike to our place! We were very impressed! Thankfully, their ride back home was mostly downhill.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"A<\/a>

A couple of hours later we had arrived at the Laugarvatn summer house, where we met the Addas, and Bjarki got yet another present!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The trampoline was thankfully dry enough to use. It’s amazing how long the kids can entertain themselves on that thing!<\/p><\/div>\n

The weather turned out to be really great that day. So great the adults snuck in a bit of sunbathing!<\/p><\/div>\n

Happy trampoliners. Notice how Bjarki is jumping along with the big girls. It was only a year ago that he had a lot of trouble keeping his footing when others were jumping, but he’s doing great now.<\/p><\/div>\n
