Bjarki turned 6 years old today!! \u00a0Oh my!! \ud83d\ude42 Click here to read this whole post – there are a lot of pictures!<\/a><\/p>\n

\"One<\/a>

One standard chocolate cake, check!<\/p><\/div>\n

He woke me up at 06:30, we went downstairs to eat breakfast, and then I collapsed back into bed, forbidding him to open any presents until after 7 am. \u00a0There was little rest to be had though because of course Emma had awoken by then…<\/p>\n

Shortly after 7 am we woke Anna and Finnur up and let Bjarki open his first presents:<\/p>\n

\"Bjarki's<\/a>

Bjarki’s first present of the day: a snorkel set complete with fins from his sisters.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

\"Moving<\/a>

Moving on to the next present, this one from Sarah and Augusto, in front of a rapt audience. He got a very exciting paper airplane launcher<\/a>, which will take some parental-assisted assembling.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki's<\/a>

Bjarki’s ‘big’ present from us was this Snap Circuits Rover<\/a>. \u00a0He’s been very interested lately in Anna’s Snap Circuits Jr. kit<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"We<\/a>

We assembled the rover and got it working on the first try. Bjarki spent a good amount of time driving it around.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki then went to daycare (and Anna later on to her riding class) while Finnur and I tidied and cleaned the house for Bjarki’s birthday party – The Family Edition.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki got bubble liquid and very cool bubble-accessories. \u00a0They were put into immediate use!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Time<\/a>

Time to feed the guests! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Grandma<\/a>

Grandma Anna with Emma.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The big kids of my family.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Some<\/a>

Some of the kids weren’t terribly interested in eating… because bubbles are awesome!<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki finally agreed to come inside to eat.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Emma<\/a>

R\u00edkey’s Dagur Ari. \u00a0He’ll be six years old this fall.<\/p><\/div>\n

More people getting dessert.<\/p><\/div>\n

Fannar pretty happy with his chocolate cake.<\/p><\/div>\n

Emma got no dessert, just floor-time.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"P\u00e9tur<\/a>

P\u00e9tur had to leave early for his job as a security guard\/store clerk.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Soon<\/a>

Soon the kids were out again, blowing more bubbles. The sun had finally come out (as predicted) and it was almost warm out.<\/p><\/div>\n

More bubbles.<\/p><\/div>\n

Chasing bubbles everywhere!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"And<\/a>
