This has been a busy day. \u00a0Anna’s class had a ‘variety show’ during lunch time, then Bjarki’s daycare had an ‘open house’ in the afternoon, after which a friend of his came over for a play-date. \u00a0In the evening I decided to make use of the first semi-warm<\/span>, still, and cloud-free day for a long while and go out for a bike ride.<\/p>\n

\"Anna<\/a>

Anna and three classmates introducing themselves before performing a short play\/comedy skit. Anna also played a couple of short songs on the piano. \u00a0All the kids did really well and it was a fun variety show.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki’s artwork from earlier this winter. \u00a0He was in a ‘theater’ group, so the picture is pretty dramatic.<\/p><\/div>\n

Documentation of the theater group. They went and visited the National Theater, and later put on their own play.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Emma<\/a>

Emma fell asleep (apparently for the night?) at 9 pm, so I used the opportunity to hop out on a bike ride.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"A<\/a>

A warm-water run-off stream from near-by houses. \u00a0There’s a golf course a little further off. \u00a0The\u00a0vegetation\u00a0is slowly waking up from its winter sleep, there are spots of green here and there among the yellows.<\/p><\/div>\n

There’s a lake in our backyard!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Just<\/a>

Just a regular old stream running into the lake, and the sun setting veeeery slowly at 21:43.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"My<\/a>

My bike next to an information sign. There were quite a few fishermen out on the lake. \u00a0The path around the lake is 2.6 km long, and is perfect for walking\/jogging\/biking.<\/p><\/div>\n

It took me a good long while to bike up the hill overlooking the lake, and the studded tires didn’t help on the paved road.<\/p><\/div>\n

Back to civilization.<\/p><\/div>\n

One nice thing about this ride was that the last little bit was all downhill! \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0This photo is taken at 22:18 and the ground is quite a bit darker than it should be because I wanted to get the sky-colors.<\/p><\/div>\n

I did learn one new thing on my bike-ride: \u00a0Horses hate bikes. \u00a0If you happen to cross paths with people riding horses, dismount the bike, and stand very still while the horses pass by.<\/p>\n
