<\/a>The around-midnight awake-time was used to give Ms. Bambino her first bath. And no, they never ‘cleaned’ her at the hospital, just plonked her on my chest and that was it. (We spent the next few days plucking dried blood out of her hair… \ud83d\ude42 ) \u00a0This was her first time in the bathroom, so she was busy looking around.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n
<\/a>She was very calm during the bath, and neither flailed nor screamed. We had a similar experience with her big sister<\/a> and her first bath, but then all went crazy during bath number two, so we’re not claiming victory just yet. (Also, the yellow towel I grabbed is from the same set as the pink towel we used for Anna’s first proper bath<\/a>).<\/p><\/div>\n I keep saying it’s a good thing one doesn’t remember one’s first few years of life… what sort of treatment is this?!<\/p><\/div>\n Still calm as a cucumber. It probably helped that the hyper-excitable big kids were both asleep at the time, so she only got feedback from us.<\/p><\/div>\n Staring at the man who does the diaper changes, bathes, gives cuddles, and feeds and fetches things for the lump with the boobs.<\/p><\/div>\n One last image of her wet face. By that time she was getting a bit cold, so we quickly put her in dry clothes.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This Friday was a pretty hectic one. \u00a0We began by going to the health center to get an ‘official’ blood pressure reading, but then ended up calling the hospital to talk to a familiar doctor there and get permission to halve the dose of one of my two remaining medications. \u00a0Then I left Finnur and Anna (on winter break) alone with Ms. Bambino while the physio continued working on my leg, which is finally showing a small will to live again. \u00a0All survived the lack of boobs, but it was close. \u00a0P\u00e9tur and Sign\u00fd came by in the afternoon, and in the evening Ms. Bambino got her first bath!<\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>
