(Sung to the tune of The 12 Days of Christmas<\/a>): “On the twelfth day of my cooold, my GP gave to meeee, lots of peniciiillliiiin”…<\/p>\n

Yes, my cold finally kicked it up a notch and turned into a (probable) infection yesterday, causing bone-aches on the left side of my face, bad enough to warrant a painkiller at 4 am so that I could fall back asleep. \u00a0I therefore finally had a good reason to call the doctor, and he prescribed me this:<\/p>\n

Of course, to actually get my filthy paws on this box, I had to first amble up the hill to the nearest pharmacy.<\/p>\n

On the way there I saw kids from Anna’s school walking down the hill, presumably after visiting the local church, which they do every year before Christmas. \u00a0(I’ve decided not to make a stink about it. \u00a0I’m just really happy we can’t see the church out of any of our windows. \u00a0Instead we have a great view of a little Buddha shrine located a hop and a skip away from the church up on the hill.)<\/p>\n

Kids walking back to school (technically they’re walking on the sound barrier separating a busy road from our neighborhood) after visiting the local church. Some of them were singing military-style marching songs!<\/p><\/div>\n

The view up the hill (I hope you can see the path?). This was taken at 10:38, as the sun was taking a good long while pondering whether to bother with this ‘rising’ thing…<\/p><\/div>\n

So yes, a thirst for penicillin trumped any pelvic concerns, but I think I’ve now established that walking up and down hills really isn’t the pelvic-friendliest activity ever. \u00a0I guess you win some and lose some!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
