{"id":6631,"date":"2012-11-09T21:45:29","date_gmt":"2012-11-09T21:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/?p=6631"},"modified":"2012-11-09T21:52:22","modified_gmt":"2012-11-09T21:52:22","slug":"todays-home-improvement-the-hallwa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/2012\/11\/todays-home-improvement-the-hallwa\/","title":{"rendered":"Today&#8217;s Home Improvement &#8211; The Hallway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I spent yesterday visiting various shops, getting small bits and pieces that had slipped under my radar, but popped up again when I wrote down <a href=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/2012\/11\/the-to-do-list-house-version\/\">the epic list of stuff to do for the house<\/a>. \u00a0I&#8217;m talking about things like felt floor-protectors to put under chairs,\u00a0more plastic bins, hangers, small light fixtures, etc&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The biggest item was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/gb\/en\/catalog\/products\/50152703\/#\/70152702\">a new shoe-rack<\/a>, because our old shoe-rack ($5 at Ikea 10 year ago) had finally lost all will to live, and our shoes were living in a heap in the corner of the hallway (foyer?). \u00a0Seeing how this new rack is from the same <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/gb\/en\/search\/?query=TJUSIG\">Ikea product line<\/a> as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/gb\/en\/catalog\/products\/20152634\/#\/40152633\">the coat-hanger<\/a> left behind by the previous owner, this purchase was a bit of a no-brainer. \u00a0And feeling energetic today, I assembled said shoe-rack:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6632\" style=\"width: 505px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_20121109_141324.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6632\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6632\" title=\"IMG_20121109_141324\" src=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_20121109_141324.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"495\" height=\"660\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_20121109_141324.jpg 495w, https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_20121109_141324-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-6632\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A partially assembled shoe-rack in the living room.
