We celebrated Bjarki’s fifth birthday with friends and family during a sunny, yet somewhat windy afternoon. \u00a0Not everybody could make it due to various summer-travel-plans, but we had a good number of people over, and Bjarki was soooo happy to get more presents.<\/p>\n

Poor Bjarki looking a bit exhausted after spending all day waiting for the guests to arrive. \u00a0I did bribe the kids into tidying up the upstairs with precious computer time (aka cartoon time) so that helped. \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0(P\u00e9tur and Fannar in the background.)<\/p><\/div>\n

Hamburgers and hot dogs for the masses! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Finnur manned the BBQ with a little help from his friends. I stayed in the kitchen the whole time, warming breads, clearing stuff away, finding glasses… oh, and making some chocolate-goodies to have with dessert.<\/p><\/div>\n

Also between courses: The hot tub was opened!<\/p><\/div>\n

The singing of the Birthday Song…<\/p><\/div>\n

… takes a remarkably long time!<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki finally gets to blow out the candles! The brownie said B5! which can be interpreted as B120, but let’s not. \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

That’s one happy birthday boy! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

The guests did a fantastic job eating dessert, so we had remarkably few leftovers.<\/p><\/div>\n

At the end of the party, Anna and Bjarki took off with Finnur’s parents to stay with them over the whole weekend, while Finnur and I went sauntering around Munchen in Germany!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
