When I showed up this morning he was spread out, taking a sunbath in his incubator (with sunglasses and all). This is to treat a little jaundice that he has. The nurse came in later in the day and said he had been stable all day and the only thing known to afflict him is the hole in the heart that hasn&#8217;t closed yet and immature lungs, both to be expected of a 26 week old baby. They are going to try medication first to close the hole and if he doesn&#8217;t respond to that then they&#8217;ll try a small operation through the armpit. If the hole closes it will help the lungs mature, but otherwise he just needs time. The best news, however, came when the results from the ultrasound (of his head and heart) did not reveal any bleeding into the brain, which was a big relief &#8211; although we are not out of the woods yet, if it happens it happens usually within the first 10 days although the first 2 are probably more critical. <\/p>\n<p>But, the first two days look promising, as far as we can tell. Hrefna is doing well; she is walking (albeit slowly), took a shower mostly without help and her IV has been disconnected, although not removed yet. Anna S\u00f3lr\u00fan is at home now with Augusto and Sarah, who have been so fantastic in helping us out; stayed overnight for two nights, cooked, did laundry, babysat and dropped Anna off at the daycare. We are extremely greatful for not only their help but the help of all the people that have pitced in, and there have been many. Thank you! \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n<p>Today we also got to see our little Reynir Hugi again. Hrefna hefur \u00fea\u00f0 l\u00edka gott, er farin a\u00f0 ganga (h\u00e6gt), f\u00f3r \u00ed sturtu a\u00f0 mestu \u00e1n hj\u00e1lpar og b\u00fai\u00f0 a\u00f0 aftengja (en ekki fjarl\u00e6gja) \u00e6\u00f0alegginn. Anna S\u00f3lr\u00fan er heima n\u00fana me\u00f0 Augusto og S\u00f6ruh sem eru b\u00fain a\u00f0 standa sig eins og hetjur; b\u00fain a\u00f0 gista hj\u00e1 okkur s\u00ed\u00f0ustu tv\u00e6r n\u00e6tur, elda, \u00fevo \u00fevott og passa \u00d6nnu og setja hana \u00e1 leiksk\u00f3lann. \u00dea\u00f0 er gott a\u00f0 eiga g\u00f3\u00f0a vini a\u00f0 og kunnum vi\u00f0 ekki bara \u00feeim bestu \u00feakkir heldur og \u00f6llum sem hafa s\u00fdnt okkur stu\u00f0ning undanfarna daga og vikur. <\/p>\n<p>\u00cd dag fengum vi\u00f0 svo l\u00edka a\u00f0 sj\u00e1 litla Reyni Huga aftur undir r\u00f3legri kringumst\u00e6\u00f0um en morguninn \u00feegar hann d\u00f3.
