[Bjarki Freyr turns 2 weeks (or 28 weeks) old in 2 hours. He’s currently stable and still on the CPAP (not ventilator). He has a tendency to loose oxygen saturation and also to “Brady” (heart rate goes down below 100 or so) but that’s all pretty standard preemie stuff. When Anna Sr. and I arrived at the NICU today, the nurse taking care of him had found a small “jacket” for him to wear. Very cute.<\/p>\n

Anna S\u00f3lr\u00fan is currently in the midst of food\/cooking\/restaurant-days at daycare, and brought home chocolate chip cookies for us to try. They were pretty good! Finnur and I then dipped our toes into the rental market again and went to look at a house in Collage Terrace. It turned out to be tiny yet super expensive, but the girl showing it said she already had quite a few applications. (Sigh).<\/i>]<\/p>\n

J\u00fa, hann missir ni\u00f0ur s\u00farefnismettun me\u00f0 reglulegu millibili og eitthva\u00f0 var hann a\u00f0 “Brady-a”, en \u00feess \u00e1 milli er hann st\u00f6\u00f0ugur. Allt e\u00f0lilegt fyrirbura-d\u00e6mi v\u00edst. Helst ur\u00f0um vi\u00f0 hissa a\u00f0 hann var kominn \u00ed l\u00edtinn “jakka” sem hj\u00fakkan haf\u00f0i fundi\u00f0 handa honum. Sp\u00edtalinn f\u00e6r v\u00edst send teppi og sm\u00e1barnaf\u00f6t fr\u00e1 \u00f6llum Bandar\u00edkjunum og \u00fatdeilir \u00fev\u00ed til fj\u00f6lskyldnanna.<\/p>\n

Anna\u00f0 sem kom \u00e1 \u00f3vart var a\u00f0 hj\u00fakkan sem var me\u00f0 hann \u00ed kv\u00f6ld \u00feekkir J\u00f3n\u00ednu, Eggert, Unni og Jakob sem bjuggu h\u00e9rna \u00e1 sv\u00e6\u00f0inu fyrir nokkrum \u00e1rum. L\u00ed\u00ed\u00edtill heimur eins og ma\u00f0ur segir. Svo d\u00fdf\u00f0um vi\u00f0 Finnur t\u00e1nni \u00ed leigumarka\u00f0inn aftur, og f\u00f3rum a\u00f0 sko\u00f0a h\u00fas til leigu. \u00dea\u00f0 reyndist frekar mikill kofi \u00e1 okur-ver\u00f0i en okkur heyr\u00f0ist samt \u00e1 konunni sem var a\u00f0 s\u00fdna h\u00fasi\u00f0 a\u00f0 ums\u00f3knirnar streymdu inn. L\u00edtil a\u00f0 fr\u00e9tta annars nema a\u00f0 Anna S\u00f3lr\u00fan kom heim me\u00f0 s\u00fakkula\u00f0ibitak\u00f6kur sem h\u00fan haf\u00f0i b\u00fai\u00f0 til \u00e1 leiksk\u00f3lanum. \u00dear er v\u00edst matar\/eldunar\/kokka\/veitingasta\u00f0a-\u00feema um \u00feessar mundir og miki\u00f0 p\u00e6lt \u00ed mat. H\u00fan ver\u00f0ur enskari me\u00f0 hverjum deginum og vi\u00f0 megum hafa okkur \u00f6ll vi\u00f0 a\u00f0 mala ofan \u00ed hana “tala\u00f0u vi\u00f0 okkur \u00e1 \u00edslensku”.
