[I just got some fantastic news – We Don’t Have To Move!! Housing services apparently got a cancellation, so we can stay in our place for one more year. Yippeekaaayyeeee!! \ud83d\ude42 Huge hugs and thanks to Kerri for getting the process started!!! \ud83d\ude42 Boy am I glad not to have to deal with Craigslist any more, since the rental market is going insane. People are apparently overbidding to get places close to campus and the supply is so low that anybody that posts an ad just gets swamped with replies. Also, there are scammers out there that just want all your personal info – I think we may have encountered one in the last 24 hours. Anyway, HUGE sigh of relief! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Ok, now back to reality. I went to see Bjarki this lunchtime and well, he was having what appeared to be a rougher day than yesterday, although the nurse tried to assure me that he was doing fine. A lot of things changed last night: one drug was discontinued and his PICC line was removed so he’s no longer receiving fluids (nourishment) and drugs intravenously. Instead he’s only getting milk for food and his drugs are now oral. To me he seemed to be responding slightly less enthusiastically to the caffeine and not breathing so well. He was also gurgling some of his food back up, but he keeps on pooping, which is good. Anyway, it might take him a while to figure out this new reality. Fingers crossed as always.<\/i>]<\/p>\n
