[Anna Sr. returned to Iceland this morning and now I’ll have to start emptying my own dishwasher again. No fun! It was lovely having her here although I felt a little bit guilty that we didn’t show her more of the area. But hopefully she’ll be back later for the full tourist-treatment.<\/p>\n
Bjarki’s doing pretty well, they increased his milk dosage today so he’s up to 25 mL of milk every 3 hours. Yesterday was a so-so day, he wasn’t hanging on to his oxygen too well, so in the evening they changed the size of the nose-prongs to seal the air better. That seemed to help and he was doing better today. I talked to the doctor a bit today, and he was hoping to have Bjarki off the CPAP by the end of next week. They’ll at least try for it and see how he reacts – or like the doc said “they’ll push him and see if he pushes back”.<\/p>\n
The only other news is that Finnur went to the hospital this evening and got to hold Bjarki, making this the first day he’s been held twice. Unfortunately though the experienced nurse had to go somewhere in the middle of it, and when Bjarki’s oxygen level started dipping a bit, the less experienced nurse called the whole thing off, a bit prematurely according to Finnur. But oh well, there’ll be other evenings (we hope).<\/i>]<\/p>\n

Bjarki hefur \u00fea\u00f0 annars \u00e1g\u00e6tt. Er kominn upp \u00ed 25 mL af mj\u00f3lk \u00e1 \u00feriggja t\u00edma fresti.
