<\/a>I reclaimed my camera at some point and got Adda to take a walk around the ‘neighborhood’ with me. This is (a portion of) our house.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Our ‘personal’ dumpsters. There didn’t seem to be many others around so we had these mostly to ourselves. It’s a little embarrassing just how much garbage we left over one week.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>The actual farm ‘Hr\u00edsar’, right below our house. I don’t know if they still do much farming there, we didn’t see many animals about.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>The kids joined us on our walk. It was a little difficult for Bjarki who was tired and hungry, but he made it up to the top house and back down again mostly in one piece.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/a>The landowners apparently planted a good number of trees some years ago and are now reaping the benefits. (Only trees planted within sheep-proof fences tend to survive in Iceland – the sheep love saplings!)<\/p><\/div>\n
