{"id":5749,"date":"2012-06-20T21:03:41","date_gmt":"2012-06-20T21:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/?p=5749"},"modified":"2012-06-20T21:05:26","modified_gmt":"2012-06-20T21:05:26","slug":"spinal-cooking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/2012\/06\/spinal-cooking\/","title":{"rendered":"Spinal Cooking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fyrst: Hjartanlega til hamingju me\u00f0 55 \u00e1ra afm\u00e6li\u00f0 (m)amma! \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0(Happy 55th Birthday (grand)mom!)<\/p>\n<p>Second: After we moved to Iceland, Finnur took over making dinner pretty much every night. \u00a0I&#8217;d done most of the weekday dinners for the five previous years, and was frankly a little sick of cooking. \u00a0It also mattered that Finnur began by working from home for a year after the move, while I had a lot of trouble coming home from the office at a reasonable hour (whilst banging my head against my desk most of the time).<\/p>\n<p>Now that I&#8217;ll be staying at home more this summer, it&#8217;ll surely fall to me to cook more &#8211; and sure enough, I&#8217;ve done two dinners this week.<\/p>\n<p>One would hope though that taking a two-year hiatus from cooking would leave me all excited to get going again, but no. \u00a0Sadly, the two dinners I&#8217;ve cooked so far have been things I&#8217;ve done so many times I don&#8217;t even need to use my brain&#8230; the info is all in the spine. \u00a0I call it Spinal Cooking.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5750\" style=\"width: 505px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/IMG_20120620_184311.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5750\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5750\" title=\"IMG_20120620_184311\" src=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/IMG_20120620_184311.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"495\" height=\"660\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/IMG_20120620_184311.jpg 495w, https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/IMG_20120620_184311-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5750\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">One of my Spinal Cooking dishes: &#8216;Red chicken with pasta&#8217; (red here means tomato).
