[Finnur went to the hospital today at noon to meet the developmental psychologist<\/a> at Bjarki’s bedside. As they were talking about Bjarki’s status, the eye-doctor popped up and asked for 5 seconds to do an eye exam. The result of the eye exam was stage I ROP much like last week, which is good news because the eyes haven’t gotten worse this past week. The eye-doc did warn Finnur though that the eyes often get worse before they get better.<\/p>\n

Bjarki was started on coffeine again today since he’s started to desat more and have more apnea spells. He also got a diuretic to help get rid of some extra fluid in his lungs. Other than that he’s doing pretty well. I’m still coughing, which is driving me nuts. All I can hope now is that by next week I’ll be better, and not starting on the next cold-virus brought home from daycare.<\/i>]<\/p>\n
