[I just got back from the hospital and the biggest news item is that Bjarki has “graduated” from the incubator – is now big enough to maintain his body temperature at room temperature so he doesn’t need the incubator any more. It may seem this would mean that it is less of a hassle to get to hold him now but that was not so today since he was also hooked up to a machine measuring reflux and apnea. He therefore had all kinds of wires and hoses hooked up to him – but, we managed and he seemed to like sleeping upright in the arms of his dad given that he was getting a little tired of lying on his left side as he had during the day.<\/p>\n
Yesterday we did nothing; we let Anna work out her ear infection, which she did (and went to daycare today). The highlight of the Sunday (apart from the visit to the hospital) was when Anna and I went grocery shopping and got some meat for the bbq. Anna got to push around a mini shopping cart around the store to collect our items. She announced to me when she picked up the cart that “today she was not going to run into people with her cart”. Not that she’s a menace of the shopping aisles, but sometimes she just can’t resist running around the aisles, which prompts her dad to lay down the law. \ud83d\ude42<\/i>]<\/p>\n
