I’m breaking away from the California-retelling to bring you news that are less than a week old! \u00a0Yes, recent stuff! \u00a0And what is it? \u00a0Well, we bought garden chairs! \u00a0Why? \u00a0Because the weather in Iceland stayed bloody brilliant for a whole week, and I coveted a lounger to lounge on in the backyard.<\/p>\n

Here are some pictures taken from inside the house and in the yard.<\/p>\n

This spider lives outside one of our living room windows. At one point I noticed that the slowly setting sun was hitting it through another window, so I snapped a photo. A moment later the sun was gone, but the spider stayed. Since the spiders mostly stay outside, I prefer them to the flies.<\/p><\/div>\n

Halli contemplating his existence with sun in his hair. We had planned to watch some Game of Thrones, but both Adda and Finnur fell asleep right after dinner, so we let the kids play for a bit before they took off.<\/p><\/div>\n

More sunspots, now on one of our window-sill-decorating rocks.<\/p><\/div>\n

Reynir Hugi has a view of our living area and backyard now. \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

I ventured into the backyard to snap some more photos. This is taken at 8:30-ish pm. Look how many leaves the tree has now! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

More flowers, this time facing the not-setting-any-time-soon-at-all sun.<\/p><\/div>\n

I'm guessing Anna wrote this nice message. It says 'Hey you, go away.' She's such a charmer... <\/p><\/div>\n

This plant likes to live in Iceland. Or perhaps 'likes' is too strong... It 'survives'...<\/p><\/div>\n

And finally, the point of all this: Lounger #1 fully assembled.<\/p><\/div>\n

I assembled lounger #2 soon thereafter, the weather was so nice I couldn't resist. We also bought four of those black chairs that you can see in the background.<\/p><\/div>\n

Now we just have to procure a table, and an umbrella for some shade, because, by golly, the sun is strong!<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
