[We got a lot done today: some housecleaning, bike repair, purchase of a carseat for Bjarki, wash three loads of laundry and two visits to Bjarki, to name a few. Yesterday we did a lot less – but managed to attend Fraser’s 40th birthday celebration (Hrefna knows Fraser through Stanford); a party he was clearly not expecting. \ud83d\ude42 Anna did great among all the adults at the party, but did ask me towards the end: “daddy, where is the birthday party?” She apparently didn’t think much of a birthday party where no cake was offered (which, turned out, they were offering – we just left too early). Anna wore her nice white dress which she was very proud of – asked me as I put her in the carseat when we took off from home:<\/p>\n

Anna: “Daddy, do I look nice?”
Me: “Yes, you look very pretty”
Anna: “Am I… an eight?”
Me: (struggling to retain the laughter): “What?! No, you are at least a nine!!” (I think she meant out of 10) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Bjarki is doing well in the new unit, seems to enjoy the tranquility and is more awake than up at the “highest level”. He has a new bed now; a steel frame which you can see on the picture below. Hrefna was with him from noon until I took over at 6 pm and then she took Anna to BabysRUs to buy a carseat (Anna got to pick the color). As far as I know, I broke the feeding speed record when he drank 43 ml out of 60 in less than 30 minutes (felt more like 20) but that has taken him about an hour up until now – and usually several attempts (a few sips here, wait while he pretends not to notice the bottle stroking his lips, open your mouth, yes, all the way, open… come on… ah there… no, don’t just stop… open… good boy… no… doh!) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Augusto and Sarah made dinner for us at our place and we ended the night watching Mythbusters and Daily Show while Hrefna slept on the couch, snoring. \ud83d\ude42 I just felt like documenting that it is not just I that falls asleep over the television, like she claims. \ud83d\ude42<\/i>]<\/p>\n

Vi\u00f0 komum heilmiklu \u00ed verk \u00ed dag: \u00ferif \u00e1 heimili, vi\u00f0ger\u00f0 \u00e1 hj\u00f3li, innkaup \u00e1 b\u00edlst\u00f3l fyrir Bjarka, \u00fevo \u00ferj\u00e1r \u00fevottav\u00e9lar og tv\u00e6r heims\u00f3knir til Bjarka svo f\u00e1tt eitt s\u00e9 nefnt. \u00cd g\u00e6r komum vi\u00f0 \u00f6llu minna \u00ed verk – en n\u00e1\u00f0um \u00fe\u00f3 a\u00f0 fara \u00ed fertugs-afm\u00e6lisveislu til Fraser (sem Hrefna \u00feekkir \u00ed gegnum Stanford) sem kom honum algj\u00f6rlega a\u00f0 \u00f3v\u00f6rum. \ud83d\ude42 Anna S\u00f3lr\u00fan st\u00f3\u00f0 sig feyki vel innan um allt fullor\u00f0na f\u00f3lki\u00f0 \u00ed veislunni en spur\u00f0i mig undir lokin: “hvar er afm\u00e6li\u00f0?”. Henni fannst ekki miki\u00f0 vari\u00f0 \u00ed afm\u00e6li \u00fear sem engar k\u00f6kur v\u00e6ru \u00e1 bo\u00f0st\u00f3lum (\u00fe\u00e6r voru reyndar \u00ed bo\u00f0i, bara seint svo vi\u00f0 misstum af \u00feeim). Anna var \u00ed f\u00edna hv\u00edta kj\u00f3lnum s\u00ednum sem h\u00fan var mj\u00f6g stolt af – spur\u00f0i mig \u00feegar \u00e9g setti hana \u00ed b\u00edlst\u00f3linn \u00feegar vi\u00f0 l\u00f6g\u00f0um af sta\u00f0 \u00ed veisluna: <\/p>\n

Anna: “Pabbi, er \u00e9g f\u00edn?”
\u00c9g: “J\u00e1, \u00fe\u00fa ert rosalega f\u00edn!”
Anna: “Er \u00e9g… \u00e1tta?”
\u00c9g (h\u00e1lf hl\u00e6gjandi): “Ha?! Nei, \u00fe\u00fa ert sko allavega n\u00edu!!” (held h\u00fan hafi veri\u00f0 a\u00f0 meina af t\u00edu m\u00f6gulegum) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Bjarki hefur \u00fea\u00f0 f\u00ednt \u00e1 n\u00fdju deildinni, vir\u00f0ist nj\u00f3ta kyrr\u00f0arinnar og er meira vakandi en uppi \u00e1 “efsta stiginu”. Hann er kominn \u00ed n\u00fdtt r\u00fam; st\u00e1lrimlar\u00fam sem sj\u00e1 m\u00e1 \u00e1 myndinni h\u00e9r a\u00f0 ne\u00f0an. Hrefna var hj\u00e1 honum fr\u00e1 h\u00e1degi \u00feanga\u00f0 til \u00e9g t\u00f3k vi\u00f0 um 6 leyti\u00f0 en \u00fe\u00e1 f\u00f3r h\u00fan me\u00f0 \u00d6nnu \u00ed Beib\u00edsAr\u00d6ss b\u00fa\u00f0ina a\u00f0 kaupa b\u00edlst\u00f3linn og Anna f\u00e9kk a\u00f0 velja litinn. \u00c9g setti \u00e1 me\u00f0an n\u00fdtt hra\u00f0amet \u00ed mj\u00f3lkurgj\u00f6f \u00feegar hann t\u00f3k \u00ed einum rykk 43 ml af 60 \u00e1 innan vi\u00f0 h\u00e1lft\u00edma en \u00fea\u00f0 hefur teki\u00f0 hann um klukkut\u00edma hinga\u00f0 til a\u00f0 drekka svo miki\u00f0 – og venjulega eftir nokkrar tilraunir (nokkrir sopar h\u00e9r, b\u00ed\u00f0a me\u00f0an hann fitjar upp \u00e1 nefi\u00f0 og \u00feykist ekki taka eftir pelanum, opna munninn, j\u00e1, alla lei\u00f0, opna… svona n\u00fa… ah \u00fearna… nei, ekki h\u00e6tta strax… opna… duglegur str\u00e1kur… nei… d\u00f3h!) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Augusto og Sarah voru heima hj\u00e1 okkur \u00feegar vi\u00f0 m\u00e6ttum heim (\u00feau eru me\u00f0 lykla) og voru b\u00fain a\u00f0 b\u00faa til kv\u00f6ldmat fyrir okkur og svo endu\u00f0um vi\u00f0 kv\u00f6ldi\u00f0 \u00e1 a\u00f0 horfa saman \u00e1 Mythbusters og Daily Show \u00e1 me\u00f0an Hrefna svaf \u00ed s\u00f3fanum \u00e1 s\u00ednu gr\u00e6na og hraut. \ud83d\ude42 Vildi bara skjalfesta \u00fea\u00f0 a\u00f0 \u00fea\u00f0 er ekki bara \u00e9g sem sofna yfir sj\u00f3nvarpinu! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
