These days it seems to be the ‘norm’ to host multiple birthday parties for one kid. \u00a0In particular there tends to be one party for the classmates and another for the family and friends. \u00a0Since we happen to have large families on both sides, we decided to split the partying up into three parts: 1) Finnur’s family at Finnur’s parents’ place on Christmas Day<\/a>, 2) all the girl’s in Anna’s class at the ice-skating rink, and 3) Hrefna’s family and our friends. \u00a0In a fit of insanity I organized 2) and 3) to be on the same day, but thankfully it all worked out in the end.<\/p>\n

We used the opportunity to give the girls some ice-cream that we literally dug into a pile of snow outside to keep cool.<\/p><\/div>\n

And thus concluded this year’s edition of celebrating Anna’s birthday. \u00a0She is now properly EIGHT years old, which never seizes to amaze me. \u00a0EIGHT!! \u00a0YEARS!! \u00a0OLD!! \u00a0My oh my, how time flies.<\/p>\n
