While living in California for ten years, we were incredibly fortunate to meet and befriend other Icelanders who lived in our area. \u00a0Many of those ended up moving back to Iceland (as one does!) and we still keep in touch with many of them. \u00a0Out of the ‘large’ group of friends, a small ‘core’ emerged, and this group meets up once per year to celebrate Thanksgiving – because who else would give a damn in Iceland?! \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0(This year the feast got delayed a bit, so it almost merged with Yule-tide – hence the decorating of ginger bread houses! \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n

Our hosts this year were Soff\u00eda and \u00c1g\u00fast in their newly built house, and just like last year<\/a>, Finnur missed the party – this time because he himself was in California on a work-trip!<\/p>\n

Not many can claim this much wealth: Soff\u00eda and \u00c1g\u00fast have eight beautiful kids! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n
