[Photos taken 21 June 2025, posted online 17 May 2026. We’re back to mild weather, perfect for helping build a deck and glass-house at Finnur’s parents’ summer house.<\/em>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After three years of studying “biomedical engineering<\/a>” (heilbrig\u00f0isverkfr\u00e6\u00f0i<\/a>) undergrad at Reykjavik University, Anna graduated with a B.Sc<\/a>, alongside her boyfriend, who completed “energy-engineering<\/a>“. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She opted for a small family party (aka “the usual suspects”), which still filled our small house, especially since the weather gods decided on “pouring rain”. Thankfully we’d managed to put a small cover over the patio, so that’s where Finnur’s family congregated, while mine took over the living room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day began with me making crepes, and in retrospect I should have doubled the already doubled recipe!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Anna had to arrive by 10 in the morning for rehearsals, but I managed to take a few photos before her ride arrived. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Us parents arrived about an hour later, for the first of two Reykjavik University graduation ceremonies in Harpa that day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n
