My brother, P\u00e9tur Breki, graduated today from Menntask\u00f3linn \u00ed Hamrahl\u00ed\u00f0, a ‘Junior College’ where students usually enter at 16 years old, graduate after 3-4 years, and can then enter University in their chosen field (no general subjects).<\/p>\n

If the setting seems familiar its because his older brother graduated from the same school<\/a> some three years ago. \u00a0The ceremony took over two hours, and was mostly boring. \u00a0Thankfully, the school has a fantastic choir, and they did their best to infuse some life into the proceedings. \u00a0Sadly, there was no getting around reading up the names of roughly 190 students. \u00a0Good times!<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, we headed to Hulda’s place for a small gathering to celebrate P\u00e9tur’s\u00a0achievement. \u00a0The food was excellent, and a good time was had by all!<\/p>\n

P\u00e9tur gets his diploma from the principal. Yay! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

N\u00f6kkvi, mom, P\u00e9tur and Sign\u00fd after the ceremony. Once you've been a 'student' (aka graduate) for one year, you can remove the white part, and use the black under-hat instead.<\/p><\/div>\n
