<\/a>It is an annual tradition that the families of Finnur's dad and Finnur's dad's brother meet up on new years eve to feast and be merry!<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/a>Eyr\u00fan and Vignir were in charge of party games. Here Eyr\u00fan is introducing a poem-puzzle game.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Guests busy solving the poem-riddles. After the poem-riddles, there was a quiz-game, where the men were victorious over the women. Boohoo! Shortly afterwards we changed venues to join my family in some explosive mayhem!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Hello fireworks in very close proximity of people! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Bjarki calmly driving his tractor around while explosives are being lit on the bench, and all around.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Not everybody is a fan of being outside with close-range explosives apparently!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Finnur is a BIG FAN though! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/a>Watching the Annual Retrospective Comedy Hour. Good fun as always, and a great way to while away the hour between 22:30 and 23:30, after which the fireworks go absolutely insane!<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/a>Bjarki didn't seem to mind the explosions so much, so we decided to take him up to the hill. This was Anna's first trip up there, since she's always been terrified of the fireworks until now and stayed indoors.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>It is impossible to detect any kind of a 'recession' or 'hard times' on New Years Eve in Iceland. Everybody, and I mean everybody, shoots up fireworks for about an hour straight, and it's absolutely fantastic! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n
