[Photos taken 24 – 30 June 2022, posted online 19 February 2023. Today is Emma’s second family birthday bash, and there’s a storm coming.<\/em>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma’s first two weeks at horse-camp came to a close with a ‘show’, where the kids paraded in a line, demonstrating speed and direction control. The following week saw the start of a new two-week camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We decided to visit Finnur’s parents at their summer house in Laugarvatn over the weekend, where Finnur helped his dad build yet another deck. Then Bjarki turned 15 years old, we had a celebratory dinner, and then a party with Finnur’s family where we also celebrated Anna’s graduation, as so many had been traveling when the actual graduation took place. 11 am morning jog, the weather was too pretty to stay indoors.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Finnur’s dad was busy making a new deck at their summer house, so Finnur was dispatched to lend a helping hand.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Nearly all of Finnur’s family had been abroad when Anna graduated at the end of May, so we held a second graduation party, and joined it with Bjarki’s birthday.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Thankfully, Finnur’s parents allowed us to host the party in their house, to make it a bit unusual.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

At long last, the e-Golf came home after being in the shop since mid-November 2021!! The dealer drove it to my work-place, and I gave the guy the keys to the gas-car we’d had in the interim, as the big battery was still under warranty when it failed. If I understood the rep correctly, the dealer had over the course of the months exchanged three different battery control units (there are apparently a lot of them), moved all the cells into a new casing (top and bottom), and traded out a battery cell pack worth $4000. Eeek!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

With a trip to the US on the horizon, I went in for a covd-19 booster (immunocompromised).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n
