<\/a>We discovered early on this fall that Anna shares a birthday with one of the girls in her class. We therefore joined with the other family in hosting a birthday party for the girls in class at the local 'jumping castles' place. Having been to a number of these places in the USA, I must say that the big difference is that there is one (count em!), yes one, employee on site, and she spent the entire time sitting behind the counter reading a newspaper. This is a "enter at your own risk" place if there ever was one!<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/a>They do have cool castles though, although some of them are now looking a little worse for wear than they did earlier this fall...<\/p><\/div>\n

18 December 2010 – Birthday Celebration #2<\/strong> The living room at Finnur's parents' place.<\/p><\/div>\n A very pregnant Steinunn. She had her baby boy two days later!<\/p><\/div>\n Anna puts more food on the table.<\/p><\/div>\n Anna managed to open her presents without me taking a single picture of her! This is the only picture i have of her face...!<\/p><\/div>\n \n 19 December 2010 – Birthday Celebration #3<\/strong> At Anna's suggestion, we made a chocolate cake from her kid-cookbook. Just like with Bjarki's cake this past summer, I messed up the chocolate cover\/icing, but thankfully my grandma Hrefna was there to help me out and she made it all work in the end.
