We took the big kids to see a year-end-themed comedy show that had been scheduled for late December. It was interesting that the audience-appetite for covid jokes was low, it seems like we kind of just want to be done with the whole thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then spring began to really spring forward, and it was time for some gardening. Just before departing for Denmark, we managed to host the 2nd birthday party for Emma for my side of the family. Then we departed for Denmark as the Easter holiday was up on us! (50-ish images total)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remembering that some of the shrubbery needed a severe cutting, as lots of stuff was dead, even though it didn’t really look dead.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Garage post-cleaning out the annual winter-pyre of stuff.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

That poor hedge has mostly stopped growing, as I keep forgetting to feed it, but it got a bit of a tidying.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

It transpired that Bjarki’s cousin wants to learn to play guitar, so we decided to lend them Bjarki’s old guitar. Bjarki decided to try playing it a bit first. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

I went to help Finnur’s sister & family move. They needed a place to store some stuff while they were between places, and since our garage was now “empty”, it was a logical rest-stop.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

We took the train, and then a bus to our airbnb apartment<\/a>. We were met by our host who showed us around before taking off for their summer house.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

Emma loved having a bed with a curtain! There was another bedroom on the other side of the wall, that had a bed on top of Emma’s bed. Bjarki could have slept there, but preferred having a bit more bed-space with Anna in a double bed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

The kitchen was spaceous.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

On our way out to find a late dinner. The crack in the wall by the main door was a bit ominous, along with the fact that there was a 30 cm (1 foot) height difference between the front of the apartment, and the back of the apartment! Yes, a pen would roll down the living room floor, and walking felt like hiking up, or running down. But the house stayed up while we were there, and that was all that mattered!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n

A heaven for thirsty people. Emma was excited to find lollypop flavored soda! We found a kebab place<\/a> on the next corner, where everybody found something to eat. Then it was bed time!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
