[Photos taken 01 – 14 September 2021, posted online 15 January 2022. The screen of my personal laptop has died, and is too crazy expensive to fix. Covid-19 regulations have been tightened yet again (now at 10 people max gatherings, but with numerous exceptions) as daily cases hover in the 1200 range, and the hospital system is slowly but surely being submerged.<\/em>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The month of September began with our roof being replaced, as the roof on the other side of our duplex kept leaking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I began visiting the local swimming pool again to try and release the tension from my back and shoulders after sometimes working at the actual office (the two different work-setups seemed too much to handle). I met with both sewing clubs, and made it out for a couple of jogs. Bjarki got his second shot, the garden started sleeping, and the weather became less fun. (50-ish images total)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It had rained nails!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Friday 03 September 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

New stuff being put down, this time aluminum.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
A good place to store a drill. Also on display is Finnur’s midget-fly net that he assembled for a few windows.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
With the drains cleaned, there was quite a bit of head-scratching over what to do about this drainpipe that has generally just rained on that lower roof. With the cleaned pipes, the water came down with such force that it ‘jumped’ over the lower drain and straight off the edge. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Saturday 04 September 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Putting up scaffolding to stain Anna’s window.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The contractor sent over a single guy to finish fastening the aluminum sheets, as a big windstorm was predicted for the evening. We went and had dinner with friends in the evening, and worried slightly that he’d gotten blown off the edge, but he seemed to have managed to finish and escape unscathed.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I needed a new swim suit, and ventured to the shopping mall, which was plenty busy.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Long time, no see! The invisible hot tub on the left side has the best back & shoulder massage waterfalls ever.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Monday 06 September 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bjarki got a cold, and couldn’t go to school until he got a negative PCR result, which he did later that day.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jogging has been very on and off all year, apparently I managed to convince myself to go out that day!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
The split walking\/biking path was coming along nicely.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday 07 September 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This day was a ‘brainstorming’ day at work, so my team relocated to an office by the harbor that the company rents.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
The office has a rather pathetic air conditioning system, so we went out of a quick but refreshing walk after lunch.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
We walked to this art, called \u00de\u00fafa (tuft?), and I finally made it to the top!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>

The jog was for a good cause, there was a sewing club that night! Yum!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

With time running out before it got too cold, I ventured out and slapped some oil on the fence. To save time I stopped putting stuff on the inside boards… they didn’t seem to need it as much either.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Every time I spotted this tray of discarded coffee pods from a distance I thought they were a pile a Ferrero Rocher chocolates<\/a>… and then became very disappointed. Every. Time!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

First you drive for 46 minutes, and then you push the button on the car that turns it into a boat, and sail the rest of the way, or take a quick swim in the ocean!
