[Photos taken 01-05 April 2021, posted online 26 July 2021. Current domestic regulations stipulate max 200 people per area, so all merchant-holiday-festivals this coming weekend are cancelled. Minimum distance is at 1 m, and people are being asked to mask up again, although, unfortunately, the wording of the mask-rules is muddy.<\/em>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

House #2 came in surprisingly handy over the Easter break and beyond, as we were all sick and tired of home-home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some friends of our asked if they could join us, and arrived late the day they cleared quarantine as a kid at their kid’s school had been diagnosed with covid-19 the week before. We chilled, baked, played games, walked, ate, and chilled some more. (55-ish images total)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday 01 April 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

April began with mugginess. I went out on a slow jog…<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Proof I made it to the ridiculously big golf-ball by the driveway to Indri\u00f0asta\u00f0ir.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A person and her dog came my way, as I was selfie-ing! Usually not a lot of people around.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In spite of the mugginess, it thankfully wasn’t raining much.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Like the sane person I am, I decided this would be the time to paint the guest-bedroom that people would be sleeping in that night.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

My motivation was to fix the mess above the door, where once upon a time there had been a shelf holding a DVD player, and antenna cables running to the tv on the other side of the wall. The antenna cables were no longer in use as we took the antenna down a long time ago, I just removed them.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Friday 02 April 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My one lesson from disastrous summer vacations of the past, is that I have to make sure I get time by myself away from family and friends, or I’ll end up utterly exhausted, as otherwise I remain “on guard” non-stop. By noon I therefore found myself at our favorite cafe in Borgarnes. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>

Halli and myself finally played the final game in the Pandemic Legacy Season 2<\/a> game. I think we actually survived it, and the final score was “average to above average”. Overall this game was not as much fun as Season 1, but at least we stuck with it the whole way through, even though it took about two years to finish!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our guests had to return to town that day, and we snuck these two to town along with them. The following day was a public holiday, and I needed to finish painting that guest-bedroom! Painting is more fun with fewer distractions around.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Monday 05 April 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After too many head-scratchings I’ve finally learnt to photo the wiring before I tear stuff apart.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
I had run out of time a few days before, and not managed to paint behind the big bunk-bed. I happily managed to finish painting, and installing a new light before the day was out.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Shortly before five, I again reported to the cafe in Borgarnes, for some mind-and-body-fuel before driving back to town.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
