The Pearl is the main focal point of my view.  It&#39;s a dome that sits on top of hot-water storage tanks.  On the top floor inside the dome is a restaurant, which is on a rotating platform.  I&#39;ve yet to go and eat at that restaurant, maybe it&#39;s time to do something about that?!<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_2916\" style=\"width: 670px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0301.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2916\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2916\" title=\"IMG_0301\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0301.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0301.jpg 660w, https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0301-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2916\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">8:59am.  Never trust the lighting in a photograph!  This is the view to the north of the Pearl (i.e. more to the left out of my window). This is all I see of Mount Esja, my favorite mountain, that sits to the north of Reykjavik.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_2918\" style=\"width: 670px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0311.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2918\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2918\" title=\"IMG_0311\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0311.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0311.jpg 660w, https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0311-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2918\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">9:52am.  I swapped out the zoom lens for my regular walk-about lens as the sun rose higher into the sky.  This is more akin to what I see to the right out of my window.
