The mad post-renovation-tidying continued while Finnur magic-ed a festive yule-meal in the kitchen. After eating a delicious meal, we opened all the presents. A good time was had by all! (25-ish images)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I began the day like many others at a cafe.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Back at home, Emma did a good job tidying up her art-corner.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tree up and fully stocked with presents!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
I spent the majority of the day digging the front room out from under the piles of garage stuff that had been thrown in there when the bathroom renovations began and the contractors needed space the the garage to store their stuff, and also to lay down the new pipes. As Emma’s patience wore thin (“When will we open the presents?!?!”) I dragged her out for a bit of sledding shortly before 5 pm.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Half an hour before dinner was set to begin, I claimed victory over the front room! I didn’t take a before photo, just imagine piles and piles and piles of stuff covering the whole room!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

With that, present opening could commence. Emma got an electronic animal!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We managed to mostly adhere to the “only one present being opened at a time” rule, but I long ago gave up formally documenting who gave what, so we thank everybody for their kind gifts!!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Finnur transported this colorful unicorn outfit all the way from the US, and I was very happy that it was a big hit, because she’d outgrown her old gorilla one.
