[Photos taken 17 – 29 September 2019, posted online 11 April 2020. The Covid-19 cases are getting fewer, and spring is in the air. Here’s hoping those trends continue.<\/em>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Finnur back at home from Japan, but jetlagged, we lay pretty low for a while. Emma began learning how to read, there were walks in various types of weather, some of us tried a racing simulator, and we generally tried to enjoy the last of the nice fall weather. (50-ish images total)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After many scheduling head-aches we finally managed to invite mom for dinner. With the kids doing late-afternoon practices three times a week, life didn’t really have a lot of relaxed dinner slots open.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wednesday 18 September 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Emma had begun taking piano lessons in the music school the older two have both attended for a number of years. Her teacher was a new addition to the school though, and I only knew her by her nickname. I therefore didn’t realize the “Teacher X is sick, no class today” was her name, and dutifully drove both Bjarki and Emma to the school. After waiting for a bit I finally put two and two together, and decided Emma and I were better off waiting for Bjarki to finish his lesson at a nearby cafe.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Thursday 19 September 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I was hosting a sewing club that evening, and decided to be a ‘good little housewife’ and look under the sofa. Oh dear… How does this happen?!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

An hour and a half later the living room was deemed visit-able. Phew! <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
I have no idea what was going on here, but it looks cute.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Friday 20 September 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Not sure how that plastic bowl ended where it did, but I couldn’t resist taking photo.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I eloped to a cafe in nearby Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur for a bit of blogging-time, and Adda joined me.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It’s really weirdly difficult to take a level symmetrical photos of these houses with the pool that runs between then. I’ll keep trying.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I can’t remember why we found ourselves in in the toy isle post football practice, but apparently we did. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Thursday 26 September 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There was a team-building event at work, after work. We began with some sandwiches, and drinks.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Next we moved on to this rather cool racing simulator site<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

Bjarki was so excited about the racing seats, that he got to go there the next day with his friend.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The weather was too gorgeous to stay indoors, so Adda and I decided to go for a walk downtown.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This was one of those silly busy days. For some reason I was trying to find a particular type of milk at 9:30 in the morning?! Apparently none was available.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This was the second day in a row where the weather was too gorgeous to stay inside. With the younger ones out and about with friends, I recruited my own friend to take a walk with.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In a ‘better safe than sorry’ move, I took Emma shoe-hunting for winter-boots.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A little while later, all three kiddos were on skates! I retreated to a nearby cafe while they skated.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
