[Photos taken 01-04 June 2019, posted online 26 December 2019. Happy Holidays to all! Been a month since the last update as yuletide-prep ate my blogging time.<\/em>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being six months behind on blogging means that at the peak of darkness, I’m rediscovering life near the peak of brightness. There could be a worse fate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparently, walks around the neighborhood loomed large in the everlasting sunshine, and ongoing drought. We also managed to visit house #2, where more progress was made on the guest-house, thanks to crafty friends! (35-ish images total)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday 01 June 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I took the girls to a gardening center to pick up some summer flowers to plant by house #2.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Inside, everyone was keeping busy!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The day after we returned to town early enough for me to do a bit of gardening, and for Bjarki to play with the water hose that was now seeing regular usage, with there being no rain!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A few self-sown baby birch trees salvaged into a tray as I was weeding.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There were a lot of self-sown birch babies!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Monday 03 June 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The spring tasks continued, with Finnur washing the deck so that I could stain it.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Anna set out on her two-night-long graduation trip with the other 10th graders to the north of the country.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bjarki’s gymnastics group kept preparing for an upcoming meet.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I couldn’t help myself, and went on yet another post-dinner walk. There was very little sleeping going on in June, as there were zero clouds, and constant sunshine.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

At 9:30 pm I happened to walk past the school, and found Emma there playing with her friend! I chased them home, as it was late!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
