[Photos taken on 01 April to 07 April 2019, posted online 30 September 2019. The past few days have been positively balmy in Iceland, so nice!<\/em>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter wasn’t quite ready to succumb to spring, but slowly and surely, it had no choice. The family kept being sporty, and one date-night happened. Then Finnur took off to Toronto, and I took the younger kids to the farm animal park, and discovered it was it was in the process of being renovated. (25-ish images total.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That morning was Emma’s first “gymnastics meet”, except it was more of an open practice for the parents to see what their kids have been working on. (Animated gif)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The kids performed two at a time, as otherwise this would have taken all day.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the olden days (when Bjarki was young) each kid got a mark on how they did, but this time around they got a certificate of participation, and us parents were told we could request an evaluation by email.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I took the girls for some ice-cream later that day to celebrate a job well done. At the same time, Finnur was at the airport, about to depart for Toronto on a work-trip. Bjarki was probably off with a friend, eating something sweet on his own!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sunday 07 April 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Emma came with me to a cafe to wait while Bjarki finished his Sunday gymnastics practice.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

After the practice was over, I took Emma and Bjarki to the farm animal park. The goats were outside, enjoying the nice weather.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The driver’s school was open, with their small electric cars. The kids dutifully got in line.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
I went up into the observation tower while they waited, and then began driving. They are driving the green and blue cars on the left side of the line.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The view in the other direction, it was a really gorgeous day!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The ever popular sandy area with running water.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

There were a lot of kids there!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We found that the park was under a lot of construction. This new fun and fancy play-structure had just been opened.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This was the situation next to it.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The pond was also under renovations, and almost drained.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Bjarki and Emma used to opportunity to walk over the pond. Up ahead is the tower I’d gone up in.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
