<\/a>While we were there, my brother P\u00e9tur (i.e. Peter) was heading to band-practice so I decided to drive him and take the kids to explore the sea-side (aka waiting out the World Cup).<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n
<\/a>I had the 50mm lens on the camera, and P\u00e9tur gave it a go while in the car.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Our destination was a rather large building by the sea-shore. A part of it is called 'Hellirinn' ('The Cave') where bands can rent out a practice space.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Anna went inside with P\u00e9tur, while Bjarki and I followed. Here Anna is coming out again complaining that there was loud music being played...<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>P\u00e9tur plugging in his base. We listened to his band play for a few minutes (through the closed door because it was LOUD!!) before heading out...<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We walked past a few boats... and Bjarki immediately started asking to go to them. I said no because I was looking for a store that sells tents - which used to be close by.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We walked onto the lot of a trailer-store. Bjarki wanted to explore this one a little better.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Bjarki really enjoyed exploring all the different trailers, and their hooks. He's sooo male!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>As it turned out, the store had moved, so we crossed the road and started heading back towards the boats.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>It was a lovely warm-ish still day. This is Mount Esja.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>The kids spent a shocking amount of time hanging out by this fence that surrounded the boats. They kept busy putting stones through the fence, and moving stones about and... just played with stones!<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/a>Bjarki found some concrete boxes a little further along, sat down in one, and contemplated his existence.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>It fit him just fine.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>While we were by the fence, this dog came running for Bjarki, and licked his face repeatedly before he got called off. The dog was only a puppy, and only had one baby-tooth left, but it left a couple of marks on Bjarki's cheek. Luckily he didn't break the skin, but Bjarki was a little shocked.<\/p><\/div>\n

Anna got a nasty stomach bug on Thursday (Bjarki had gotten it on Monday). We therefore didn’t do much for a couple of days but on the Saturday we went to my mom’s (who’d already gotten it).<\/p>\n
