Poor Emma had been too sick with the flu around her birthday in February to hold a party, and then we went to Florida<\/a>, so she didn’t get a birthday party until a month after her actual birthday! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was mostly ok with it, but certainly asked often enough when it would be that there was no chance of forgetting it completely. (10 images total)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As usual, we were still finishing assembling the party as the guests started arriving. Planning, flanning! Anna took it upon herself to make the birthday cake (such a luxury to have a live-in-baker!) while Finnur and I split the cleaning and gathering of external supplies!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The food was tea-time treats. Thankfully, and bunch of really nice bakeries have started popping up to replace the industrial ones.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As the party was winding down, we got an SMS from the optics store that Bjarki’s glasses were ready for pickup, so we sped down the hill to pick them up, so he could take them to school the day after.
