The day after we arrived from Florida, Anna went on a day-long ski trip with her school! Ash Wednesday, aka Halloween, was a fun day with lots of costumes, we discovered Bjarki needed glasses, we had dinner with friends, and the ‘visit-junior-colleges-with-Anna’ campaign began! Ash Wednesday has essentially morphed into Halloween in Iceland!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Emma freezing, but refusing to wear a coat on her way to daycare. Also, now I know that hearts are tricky to draw on cheeks. They can get too big!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

One of the guys at work challenged us to show up in costume, and I obliged \ud83d\ude42<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Later that day there was organized trick-or-treating…<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Anna thankfully agreed to chaperone Emma around the neighborhood to hunt for candy.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Thursday 07 March 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The big news of the day was Bjarki visiting an eye doctor who diagnosed him as needing glasses, mostly for reading. So off we went to find glasses!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We went after dinner but Bjarki’s eyes were still very dilated. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
These were the glasses Bjarki decided upon, very cool looking! Now we would we just have to wait a few days for them to be ready. (Spoiler alert, they were ready the next Sunday!)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Friday 08 March 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Finnur and I went out to dinner with some friends at the Nordic House. Finnur wanted a compare and contrast profile photo to the heads on the wall \ud83d\ude42<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Anna and I went to visit the Technical School as she was preparing to choose her next school, as she would be graduating elementary school that spring. While there she found two gadgets in her coat pocket that we’d been looking for (hence the apologetic face). But note the motors and ear-muffs behind her \ud83d\ude09<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
