Finnur was gone on a weeklong trip to the UK to work in London + go see a football game in Liverpoool, so I was in charge of dinner, which is usually Finnur’s domain. Enter going out to dinner a lot! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, the following occurred in the span of 12 days: Bjarki visited my workplace, bikes tires got switched to studded, bedroom rearrangement plans were made, a new bed was scouted, I attended a funeral, Emma showed off gymnastics skills, there was ice skating, Finnur attended a football game and got a prized selfie, yule-tide outside-lights were scouted, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finnur arrived home, we went out to dinner (a lot), work happened, and I shot skeets for the first time (3 out of 5 hits!) as well as participated in a murder-mystery role-playing game with my coworkers. Yup, two things struck off the bucket list in one day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve come to the conclusion that the entirety of November 2018 was nuts! (50-ish images)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday 19 November 2018<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The first of the avoiding-to-cook nights. Greasy burgers for all! My smile is fittingly maniacal.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\"\"
School was closed that day, so I dragged Bjarki to work with me so he could work on the rather ambitious homework problem set that one of his teachers had assigned.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Luckily there was an empty desk where I sit.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There is a kiddie-corner at work for when people bring their kids to work. It includes this multi-game arcade machine.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday 20 November 2018<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The next day was weirdly warm, so Emma insisted on biking after daycare (this is at 5 pm).<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I decided to use the opportunity to put studded tires on the bigger kiddie-bikes as there was frost in the forecast.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

Anna suddenly wanted a larger bed, so I tasked her with measuring up the room and the furniture pieces to figure out where a larger bed could fit.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

Dinner this night was actually home-cooked.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This night’s dinner was at the blue-and-yellow place, aka Ikea.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Emma happily went to the play-place, while the older ones suffered through the store with me.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Friday 23 November 2018<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The funeral of my maternal grandmother’s last remaining sibling was held here on this day.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Pallbearer-conference. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
My grandmother had 11 siblings, and it feels like the latter half of them passed these past two years or so.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This brother was quite the cool cat, he had a piloting licence in 1953!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

It was a beautiful day, and not even that cold.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It was nice to catch up with family members I don’t meet very often at the wake. Then it was back to work!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Saturday 24 November 2018<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This Saturday morning I was back at a gymnastics “meet”, except this was more like an open practice for the youngest gymnasts.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Emma running to the start of the exercise. Two kids went at once, so it all went pretty quickly. They’ve learnt their lesson from when Bjarki was this little, where there were judges and everything, and it took forever!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Stretching afterwards, as the last groups finished their runs.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
All the kids got participatory medals, which they like a lot!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Next stop: The ice skating rink!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

That evening I invited myself and the kids to eat dinner with friends. Then Pandemic Season 2 was played.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile in the UK, Finnur had relocated to Liverpool to watch an Everton game.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It was the time of year to shop for yule-tide-lights. This year we’d agreed with our neighbors to buy LED lights. None of these fit the bill of requirements.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Monday 26 November 2018<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Homecooked meal #3 as Finnur was en route from the airport.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The kids went on a dancing to music video rampage on YouTube as we waited for Finnur to show up.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

That evening we met Finnur’s family at a down-town restaurant for the annual Danish yule-tide themed dinner. We couldn’t resist a selfie with the big yule-tide cat that was installed for the first time this November.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
