The latter half of October whizzed by, much like time in general these days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I took photos of the autumn colors, the kids played, the bikes got studded tires in preparation for winter, Pokemon Go got played, the burnt building by work finally got some attention, I attended a women’s-protest downtown, we had waffles with Finnur’s family, visited house #2 with friends, and both kids attended Halloween parties! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building that went up in flames next to my workplace was in the news that week because nobody seemed to be about to clean out the debris.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This winter I tried to form a habit of doing some cardio on Saturday mornings. It’s gone relatively well. This was my first time trying to go above the default 30 minutes and I had to restart the counter as it just stopped after 30 minutes. Boohoo!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The girls and I did a library run downtown in the afternoon.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

At 2:55 p.m on this day, women in Iceland walked out of their workplaces<\/a> to head downtown to protest gender income inequality and violence and harassment in the workplace. If you take the gross numbers, then women earn 74% of the total pay of men. Yes, the hours are different, but that’s part of the problem ain’t it? (And even if you take the hours into account, there’s still a difference.)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
