This was deemed a good day to visit a large museum: The Denver Museum of Nature & Science<\/a>. It was yet another very warm day, so it was nice to spend it indoors. (25-ish images)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We began in the Space section. Here we are next to a large meteorite.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Attempts were made to navigate space shuttles, but the controls were incredibly confusing.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

Our two younger ones requested a snack-break.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

When we returned, the guy pretending to be doing experiments on Mars had appeared and starting moving slowly about the exhibit while answering questions.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Time to replicate channels made by water.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The five of us had an unhealthy lunch.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Since Bjarki and Emma were driving each other (and the rest of us) crazy, we decided to split the group up. I took Bjarki to the VR playroom. He was VEEERY excited to try it!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

After the highly dramatized and dramatic, yet cool, flight around the ISS, Bjarki got to play on a VR console for 10 minutes. He opted for a climbing game.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Time to find the others!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We got intel that they were in the body-exhibit. Bjarki found some veins.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

There were a bunch of tests one could perform, but when we exited the area, somebody had reset the computer system and all our data had disappeared. It was highly disappointing.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Finnur found some climbers.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I also found a couple of climbers.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We grew cells and viewed them in a microscope. It sort of worked.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

For the very end, we split the group up again, this time I took Emma to a young-kids play-area, while the others looked at gemstones.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
