[Photos taken on 15 July 2018, posted on 6 January 2019.  It’s the last day of the yule season, and the weather has decided to grace us with a little bit of snow for a few hours.<\/em>] <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weather was rainy, so we found a climbing gym<\/a> nearby to let the kids spend some energy. Since I have too many not-quite-good joints, I opted for a cafe-trip downtown instead. The rest of the day was spent lounging. (15-ish images.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the dads and kids were climbing, I went to a cafe down-town to recharge my batteries by working on photos etc in peace and quiet. It was part of my plan to not emerge more tired from the vacation that going into it. Downtown Longmont turned out to be quite charming.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The kids did really well climbing. Here’s Emma up high.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bjarki emerged as a bit of a Spiderman, with all his gymnastics practices really paying off in strong muscles, and stamina.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, I found my funky cafe. It was well hidden.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Weirdest mug ever, and the only cafe I’ve been where standing reservations are glued to the table!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It sounded like things went well overall, except that the kids had trouble taking turns on the most popular climbing routes.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The weather wasn’t very outdoors-friendly, so the afternoon got spent playing computer games in the not-quite-finished basement, and…<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
