The latter part of the week that Finnur spent in jolly old England was about as busy as the first half.\u00a0 I went on a team-building ride with my team-mates from work, went on a nice walk, we attended a birthday party, ate dinner with friends, visited the library downtown, and planted some leeks, among other things!\u00a0 (45-ish images total)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday 27 April 2018<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yours truly, out in the wilderness (sort of) on a team-building day with my group at work.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The day started a lot more innocently, with Emma getting her hair braided.  It was all the rage for a few days, and then it got old.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
After lunch, the bus carrying Anna back from her 5-day long school-trip to Laugar returned.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
She was tired but happy.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
By 5 pm, my colleagues and I had driven to the edge of town to go on a buggy ride.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Selfie before departure.  I was the drive in my buggy for the first half of the trip, so I was in no position to take photos!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

My buggy was the last in line.  Yes, everyone was busy tucking their phones away!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It was a tricky juggling act to decide when to take photos, when to shield the phone from water, and when to hang on for dear life!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Driving into a canyon, to cross a river, and then go up on the other side. (Wait for the animation to load.)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We got so lucky with the weather!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Soon we had returned to base, with appropriately dirty buggies.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

After this we drove to the other end of town go visit a micro brewery and eat good food!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The main course was a juicy hamburger, but dessert was ice cream with caramelized popcorn!!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The weather kept being super nice, so I ended up taking a bus home-wards, and walking the last little bit home.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Saturday 28 April 2018<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I decided to walk to work on this chilly spring morning to reclaim the car I’d left the the day before.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ooooh, a few green grasses!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Next stop was picking Emma up from her grandparents’ place, and taking her garden-stuff-shopping.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A hop and a skip later we attended a birthday party!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

To top off a busy day, we went to Adda and Halli’s for dinner! Here is Emma in a jacket that fit her oddly well, considering it’s for 12 year olds!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, I played some Pandemic with Halli!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sunday 29 April 2018<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Finnur sent us a snap that morning, as he was about to start his trip home.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The daily hair-style.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
I was annoyed that the kiddie corner in this store is right where you exit, which just meant I needed to wait for her highness to be done before exiting.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We looked at dryers, since our dryer had died a few days prior.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Still not too big for the library window!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Obligatory cafe stop.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Next we planted some leeks, but only one ever amounted to anything, and it grew so much the wind blew it over and it died. Boohoo!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
