March came along with ever increasing daylight, which was much appreciated as always. Highlights were the annual ball, Emma learning to bike, extra energy due to more sunlight, and various out and abouts. (37 images total)<\/p>\n

Saturday 17 March 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company annual fancy dress ball (prom?) was held that night. Finnur and I clean up nice!<\/p><\/div>\n

The event was held in a new place and the organization was complicated!q<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

There was a rotating cast of musicians on the main stage, and lots of people danced into the night.<\/p><\/div>\n

We left shortly after midnight, and passed the hilariously cute silent disco, where people have headsets and dance without anybody knowing what they are dancing to.<\/p><\/div>\n

Sunday 18 March 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emma and Bjarki up the street. We were trying to encourage Emma to learn to bike, but she clung to her scooter, as biking seemed too hard.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

This was the day the outside lights were taken down. They’d malfunctioned some weeks prior, and ended up going to the recycling center.\u00a0 We want to try and get good led-lights next winter.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

The poor vacuum cleaner! It looks like I was about to vacuum the car? Spring does seem to fill me with cleaning energy that’s usually lacking.<\/p><\/div>\n

Monday 19 March 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emma playing at daycare after pick-up, as usual.<\/p><\/div>\n

We had talked a lot about leaning to bike, with Emma bringing out every excuse in the book. Mostly Emma wanted to delay it, but I told her it would just be harsher to fall when her body got bigger. That got her motivated to really try again.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

So this was the day Emma learnt to bike on her own!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

It very helpful to live at the bottom of a bowl, street-wise.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

It wasn’t all glorious. Here she is summoning help.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Having a new cool helmet also helped!<\/p><\/div>\n

Emma kept practicing her biking skills any chance she got.<\/p><\/div>\n

That evening we went out to dinner with old friends. We tried a new restaurant downtown, and had a very nice time!<\/p><\/div>\n

Much chatting went on!<\/p><\/div>\n

Sunday 25 March 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quick selfie of the two of us, downtown on a Sunday morning enjoying a Pokemon Go community day event. There’s a lot of construction going on downtown!<\/p><\/div>\n

This event was all about these green dudes showing up all over the place for three hours.<\/p><\/div>\n

The fact that I’ve have this image from 2 pm probably means I drove Anna and friends to go ice skating. This view is right next door.<\/p><\/div>\n

I probably also went to this nearby cafe to hang out until I got the call to go pick them up.<\/p><\/div>\n

Spring energy makes you do the crazy, like going out on a walk at almost 6 pm!<\/p><\/div>\n

Large houses on small lots is all the rage.<\/p><\/div>\n

This house may have been semi-built since the crash in 2008. Who knows.<\/p><\/div>\n
