Finnur turned 43 years old some eons ago.\u00a0 He got presents, and was somehow convinced to walk to the top of a nearby tall hill\/borderline mountain, called \u00dalfarsfell<\/a>. (26 images total)<\/p>\n

This year’s gift theme was BBQing.<\/p><\/div>\n

We drove to the bottom of \u00dalfarsfell, and started hiking up. On the way there we passed some newlyweds which were being photographed in the pretty forest.<\/p><\/div>\n

Up a little ways already. As expected, Anna and Bjarki left the rest of us in the dust.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

I think this area belongs to a tree-growing organization.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

That’s the end of the trees!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

We found Anna and Bjarki! Also, note that all five family members are present!<\/p><\/div>\n

We found some berries!<\/p><\/div>\n

It was really windy up on the top, and Bjarki was not too please about being cold all of a sudden.<\/p><\/div>\n

Anna got my wind-breaker.<\/p><\/div>\n

Enjoying a quick chocolate\/cookie picnic.<\/p><\/div>\n

Time to head down again.<\/p><\/div>\n

As soon as we got down far enough to lose the wind, it felt really warm again.<\/p><\/div>\n

This was the summer of the fidget spinners.<\/p><\/div>\n

As it was dinner o’clock, we stopped by a restaurant on the way home to get dinner.<\/p><\/div>\n

We notified the staff that it was Finnur’s birthday, so he got a balloon, and a free dessert.<\/p><\/div>\n
