On day #2 in France, Anna and I walked downtown to go shopping for clothes.\u00a0 Afterwards we joined Holla and \u00d3li in visiting a nearby zoo<\/a>.\u00a0 We then all congregated at our house to eat dinner together. (39 images total)<\/p>\n

The shopping mall at the edge of the St. Brieuc downtown area. This is a town where people live, as opposed to a tourist town, so the shopping options were tame.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

Good old H&M! It transpired that Anna had almost no clothes fit for a warmish summer, so I was very glad we found some summery items that she liked.<\/p><\/div>\n

Next up: Staring at animals from a safe distance.<\/p><\/div>\n

Lady talking about chimpanzees in French. The zoo had a pretty neat setup, where there were large areas of water around some of the animals, instead of fences, but the staff could cross the water on small underwater planks\/bridges.<\/p><\/div>\n

Holla is the queen of picnic foods. The whole gang dove in to grab a sandwich!<\/p><\/div>\n

One lady lion came to check out the crowd. It later transpired that she was about to get fed, which is why she bothered to stand up at all.<\/p><\/div>\n

Due to loud demand, we stopped and bought ice cream for everybody.<\/p><\/div>\n

The kids became somewhat impatient, so I handed one of them the camera.<\/p><\/div>\n

Of course, the kids’ favorite part was this jumping castle right before the exit.<\/p><\/div>\n

Back at our house, I went out and watered the handful of plants that needed it.<\/p><\/div>\n
