As the first real dip below freezing point is about to hit us here in Iceland, it must be a good time to post photos from this past summer!?!<\/p>\n

This was our first full day in France. I think Finnur ventured out to buy milk at a small store that was open until noon on a Sunday, and then we visited a nearby beach with Holla and \u00d3li. (29 images total)<\/p>\n

The house had a private courtyard, with a locked, remote controlled gate. It was a little nerve-wracking getting in and out of the narrow passage by the gate, but luckily we didn’t damage anything!<\/p><\/div>\n

A 5 minute drive brought us to where our friends Holla and \u00d3li were staying.<\/p><\/div>\n

After checking out their house, we drove to a nearby beach, which I’m almost sure was called Martin Beach<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

This beach was so flat, that the difference between high and low tide was huge, beachwise! We arrived at low-ish tide, where you could walk out to that rock formation out in the distance.\u00a0 At high tide, this whole beach went under water!<\/p><\/div>\n

Once we’d all had enough of the beach, the two families went their separate ways. We ended up driving up on a cliff overlooking the beach. This was apparently the main hang-glider launch-spot.<\/p><\/div>\n

In the grass one can see a group of hang-gliders packing up their stuff after a busy day.<\/p><\/div>\n

More photos from the house. This is the front view from the top floor. There were very few windows that faced our way!\u00a0 And yes, those are “our” rubbish\/trash bins.<\/p><\/div>\n

View out the back from the second floor.\u00a0 Next to the house was a car repair shop, and some train tracks also ran past. Thankfully, the trains ran slowly past, and not with a lot of noise.<\/p><\/div>\n
